Lately

I haven't posted in a while. Whenever I have free time I'm on the computer editing photos. I am having wayyyy too much fun with it! I'm pretty proud of the work I'm doing now...especially considering that I just started to get serious about all this about a month ago! It is the first hobby that I've really enjoyed. I've tried soooo many other things like scrapbooking, knitting, painting, and baking (and although I love it if I did it all the time I would get fat!). I can't get enough of photography though! I love capturing all those special moments...and who wouldn't when you got the cutest little model in the world :-) One of my friends, Vanessa, is going to come out here sometime next month and model for me. I want to branch out a little bit plus it will be nice to have someone who can sit still for more than a second or two to practice on. And that is what I need....a lot of practice! Yesterday, when I went outside to take pictures of Roman, I didn't look at what the ISO was set at so all my pictures turned out wayyy to bright (yes...don't I sound so intelligent with all this photography talk...pish posh) I still forget that all the settings on the camera need to work together. I guess I'm still in the habit of shooting in auto mode that I forget to check all my settings. But not anymore...well...I'm sure it will happen again...but I'm going to get better! I'm kinda bummed right now because we were all going to go to the park once Roman woke up from his nap to take pictures but now I hear a thunderstorm rolling in. :-( I want to practice practice practice! I could go with Roman tomorrow while Malachi is at work...but it would be easier to have him with me. We will see...but here are a few pictures I took yesterday (with my new 50mm f/1.8 lens!)

I HATE BUGS!!!!!!!!!

UGH! I'm trying to kill this really nasty HUGE beetle hanging out on the curtains in my living room. I'm trying to kill him with febreeze and it is not working. I can hardly breathe now because my house smeels like "winds and springtime". He crawled behind them and I'm seriously considering getting something long and ruining my curtains by smooshing him! BLAH! We have been having a bug problem...everyday there is something new. Thankfully yesterday Malachi found the roach and not me. Roaches make me melt down. Imagine the worst temper tantrum you've seen a two year old make at the store...that is me when I see a roach! I FREAKING HATE BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big blue

The ONLY good thing about living in our apartment is that we have a pool. Roman and I (and Malachi whenever he can) go to the pool almost every other day. Roman loves the water! He will either sit in his floaty or lounge in my arms splashing the water with his feet. It is also a convenient way for us to get out of the house without hopping in the car and going somewhere. The pool is the only thing I'm going to miss from this horrible horrible place (okay...I may exaggerate...but it still isn't the best place to live in the world) when we move out in October!

Lalalala

As I go throughout my day I always think of tons of ideas to blog about, but when I actually come and sit in front of the computer my mind goes blank!
I wish it wasn't so stinking hot outside! I've really gotten into photography and photoshop and I want to go outside with Roman and have some mini photo shoots. But first we live in an apartment so I can't just go in the backyard because there isn't a backyard...I have to hop in the car and go somewhere. Plus I only know of one park so far here in Pensacola that we can go to that is about 15 minutes away. So it becomes a huge deal...plus it is hot...so we would only spend like 30 minutes out there because we would be miserable! I wish isn't wasn't so hot! Oh Florida...I'm actually excited about moving up north in a few years. It will be a good change!
I went through my wardrobe this week and got rid of tons of my old stuff! I got rid of things that don't fit anymore and things that aren't me. I have so many clothes that I have out of convenience and then whenever I wear them I don't feel like myself. So I got rid of those and everything that has holes or stains in them. So now I have NO winter clothes. I'm going to need to save up all my clothing money for the next few months so I can be warm this winter!
Roman stood up on his own yesterday! Totally blew my mind! He is growing up way too fast! The next thing is walking! I'm not ready for that!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh today we were watching AFV while we were eating dinner (oh yes...I get bad mother of the year! We NEVER do that but today we did...please don't judge me!) and only clip came on where a little girl had drawn all over here face and Roman started to crack up! It was the cutest thing! I love to hear him laugh.
Well...on that note...here are two pictures I edited today. I took these two in RAW format (which I will be doing from now on. My husband even bought me a bigger memory card so I don't have to worry about how many pictures I'm taking!)

Don't have any pictures :-(

I haven't been able to take any pictures for the past couple days because I wasn't able to load my pictures from the camera to the computer because they were in raw format. Malachi was able to fix it for me! He is amazing! He can fix anything for me!
My best friend Julie came and saw us today! It was so great to see her! Roman showed off for her of course. He was a little grumpy when she first got here because he didn't have a great nap, but as soon as he ate he was his happy normal self. He crawled around for her (I need to take a video for you to see!) and was pulling up on EVERYTHING. When I say everything I mean everything...the wall, the vacuum, the entertainment center, the chairs, and anything else he could get his hands on. He showed her how he can eat and eat and eat and eat and how messy he can get when he eats. He showed her that he is a professional raspberry blower. He showed her how he can swim in a pool and talk and say mama. He showed her how he can sign all done when he is done eating. He walked in his walker for her. He showed her that he is the most amazing baby in the world! I am so blessed that I get to see him and be with him every single day!

A day in the life of the Mosley's

We had a wonderful day today! I woke up to Roman wailing like everyday, but today when I went to go get them he was standing in his crib. It was so cute! He has been standing up like crazy for the past two weeks but it is still just as cute! And shocking! I remember him as my little newborn would just lay there for hours on end! And now he is crawling (yes...he has moved on from scooting everywhere to crawling everywhere!) and pulling up on everything! Bath time is interesting....he just stands up and then I sit him down, he stands up and then I sit him down and that cycle goes on the whole time! Well anyways...back to our day...after we all rolled out of bed we went to the gym. Roman went to the nursery and Malachi and I pumped some iron! After the gym we all hopped in the pool. The pool was perfect! The last few times we had been the pool was warm but today it was cool as so refreshing! Lunch was perfect today! We had leftover pork milanese so I paired the leftovers with pasta covered in a lemon thyme butter sauce. It was pure perfection! Yum! Writing about it makes me want some more!

After lunch Roman was playing around and as he was pulling up on a box...hmmm Roman...not the best idea in the world...he fell. It was so sad! The edge of the box hit him in the eye so now he has a nice little shiner!

Once Malachi went to work and Roman woke up from his afternoon nap Roman and I drove to the library to get him some books and get me some photography books.

Took this picture at a red light...I promise I'm stopped and not driving.

We didn't stay at the library for too long. Roman liked it for about five minutes and then he was so over it! He wanted to be our of his stroller and crawl around on the floor. We got him three books, one of which was Goodnight Moon. We read that before he went bed. I love reading to him...especially now that he is enjoying it as well!
So all in all, it was a wonderful day!

Yucky days

The last few days Roman and I have been stuck indoors. It has been so gloomy and rainy outside. I've had so many fun plans for us like going to the park, the library (and yes I can do that if it isn't raining but we only had one car the last few days and dear husband had it), go to the pool, and scoping out places for cool photo shoots. But alas...all our plans have been put on hold. So while Roman and I have been stuck indoors I've been taking pictures like crazy and having SO much fun editing them!

Tomorrow Roman and I are going to the library no matter what the weather is like. Roman is really enjoying books now. Yesterday he grabbed a book and came to me with it and had the biggest smile on his face while I read it to him. So cute! He is growing up wayyyy too fast! I'll try to take some pictures of Roman at the library to share with you guys tomorrow.
